‘Cézanne et Moi’, which has been filmed in Aix, Paris and the north of France, will have its launch in Aix on the 12th September, rather than the usual Parisian launch. With Guillaume Gallienne and Guillaume Canet as the painter 
and writer, it promises to be very well worth watching!
Meanwhile the artist’s family home at Jas de Bouffan is going to be renovated, a project that will take 4 years. The groundfloor studio will be restored to be just as it was in Cézanne’s time there while the first floor (200m2) will host exhibitions. His small studio on the top floor will be renovated too but access will be limited because of its size. Work will also take place in the garden, now quite overgrown, to restore the vistas.
Owned by the town since 2006, the work will cost 3m euros…but we will have to wait til 2019 to enjoy it.
