Everyone connected with the Carnaval in Aix is thrilled that the event is taking place once more.
It’s a great communal effort – the floats are created by le Comité Officiel du Carnaval d’Aix, the costumes by l’Atelier Jasmin, and everything else by local people, local families, coming together at community centres.
Five hundred people will be taking part, setting off from avenue Max Juvénal to the rond-point François Turpin.
It ends with La « Grande Surprise », during which boxes will be opened to reveal six « Pop Stars ». from ‘Elton John’ to ‘ Tina Turner’. The street-art company « Gratte-Ciel » will surprise us all with a superb aerial finale.
Great fun. You will be picking confetti out of your hair for days!
