I have to hand it to the Musée Regards de Provence who seem to keep finding interesting local artists to introduce to us all. This time it is André Maire (1898-1984) who was an inveterate traveller. He was very curious about people, civilisations and religions, and painted his impressions as he went. Over 120 works are on view at this lovely gallery. Their last expo on the work of Joseph Inguimberty was a revelation, so I look forward to visiting this one.
At the Musée Regards de Provence, opposite Mucem; open Tues-Sat.
