Mougins, such a pretty village, will see their gastronomic festival on 2-3rd June.  Called Les Etoiles de Mougins, it’s the 13th and there is a full programme of events.  In parallel, the fabulous MACM – museum of classical art – is offering a wine-tasting…details here:

MINDFUL WINE TASTING &  WINE TRAIL
SATURDAY 2nd & SUNDAY 3rd JUNE
at 11:30am & at 4pm

In honour of the Étoiles de Mougins 2018, the annual international gastronomical festival, the MACM & the Franck Thomas sommelier students will be proposing sensorial wine tasting and a  Dionysian trail around the collection. Unique price: 10€

If this inspires you to experience more classical art, you should then head  in the opposite direction, over to Nimes in fact, where the new Musée de la Romanité will open on 2nd Jun.  With 25,000 exhibits, it’s set to be one of France’s most important archaeological displays.

It looks very impressive – it’s next to the Maison Carrée and the amphitheatre.  Can’t wait to visit. http://www.nimes.fr.
