The long-awaited exhibition of David Hockney’s work is finally coming to Aix after its pandemic postponement.
The show which is being produced in collaboration with the Tate will include 110 works – paintings, photography, collages and art from the iPad, Hockney famously enjoying new technologies.
It will run at the Musée Granet from 28 January to 28 May with individual bookings open ‘mid December’, group bookings now.
It will include his great portrait ‘Mr and Mrs Clark with Percy’ which you can see here: https://www.hockney.com/works/paintings/70s. (No reproduction here bc of copyright).
The show will illustrate his debt to some of painting’s most famous artists, including Cézanne, examples of whose work will be shown.
