There are lots of events, including open-air cinema at Mont Faron (3 August The Lion King and 10 August Star Wars), and the 20th Nuit des Pecheurs, a tasting of grilled fish and local food, with music for a party atmosphere by the sea (7 August).
But two stand-out events are:
A free concert by international favourite Mika who will ‘enflamme les plages du Mourillon’. I’m sure he will. Memorable evening guaranteed, 26 August.
Display by Patrouille de France across the stunning harbour of Toulon.
The 8 Alphajets will be flying at 800km/h and sometimes just 2m apart as they execute their acrobatics in the sky. They will be preceded by a démonstration by 2 Panther helicopters, a hélitreuillage (rescue demo) by a Dauphin helicopter then a fly-past by a Falcon 50 from the Marine nationale and an exhibition by the association Rafale Solo Display. What a show that will be on 15 August!
