Wise communities are shifting their emphasis on to the outdoors this summer – here are two current shows you might enjoy.
Firstly the typically Provencal village of Puyloubier, practically on the slopes of the Sainte-Victoire, and surrounded by excellent vineyards; their tourist office has organised ‘Puyloubier et se Peintres’ which showcases local artists, in their streets, from now until August. Looks good!
Now for Istres which offers outdoor art for all tastes:
- Bus Stop Art, an urban art trail, to appeal to all.
- Two panels by Nice-based artist Ben, proclaiming ‘La Pensée est libre’ and ‘La Difference est une chance’; stimulating philosophical discourse and/or selfies
- Twelve animals in the colourful ‘zoo’, next to the étang. Fun for the little ones.
Plus, there’s the dinosaur walk: https://aixcentric.com/2021/05/14/walking-with-dinosaurs-at-istres/
