the uncertainty caused by the Covid pandemic.
It was to have been a really big deal with a series of major loans from the Tate: obviously the Granet want to do it justice, bringing to bear all their expertise to ensure a memorable event. Yet no-one can predict what will be the situation on June 10th, the original opening date.
We await a new start date, and indeed a re-opening date for the museum. It will give everyone a chance to see the Egyptian exhibition which will be prolonged over the summer.

Hello sadly I just did a write up for the Hockney exhibition at theGranet in June. It is most likely too late to remove it from the March Newsletter, but it will tell a little about the artist and his work.
The Arts Club was so pleased that it was scheduled.
It’s so disappointing but an understandable decision. I’m such a fan of my fellow Yorkshire man!
I’m so glad they plan to open this exhibit still, later. Maybe by then, we’ll be able to come back to our special home near Aix.
It will be worth the wait I’m sure!
Oh no!
I think they want to wait until they can do it justice….understandable?
