Why not try one of the cafes by the canals in Martigues?
Now we know that it’s just Aix and Marseille eateries that must close for at least 7 days from tonight, where should we be heading for a meal? Here’s the list of communities in the Metropole that are exempted and can serve meals until 22:00hrs.
Allauch, Aubagne, La Ciotat, Plan de Cuques, Septemes-les-vallons, Bouc Bel Air, Gardanne, Les Pennes Mirabeau, Trets, Arles, Tarascon, Chateau-les-Martigues, Martigues, Port de Bouc and Rognac.
On a positive note, it’s an excuse to explore further afield and discover somewhere new. I’m sure lots of restaurants will welcome the business. If you have chosen a specific resto or cafe in one of these communities, please phone ahead to double-check that it will indeed be opening. These are uncertain times!
