I am happy to welcome on board Susan Gish who will be adding reviews of local restaurants and markets to Aixcentric – Susan and husband Sam arrived in town with four suitcases two years ago, ready to embrace French life after running their own casting company in Philadelphia. They also had experience in hotel and restaurant management which should add lots of credibility to Susan’s reviews aided by Sam’s photography. As well as writing about restaurants, Susan will be profiling some of the familiar faces in Aix’s produce markets which should be interesting for all of us visitors.
So we start today with two posts: first you will find a review of Entre Midi et Deux, a small restaurant in rue d’Italie which has long intrigued me as it is always so busy; and an interview with a market-stall holder, Christophe, who explains what brought him to his metier and his passion for his produce.
Do read on….
Love Susan’s reviews!
Me too!
Lynne always resourceful in your wonderful blogs, now a new voice, Susan and an interesting look from another perspective. Gives each of us a chance to hear about the many markets and restaurants and with personal interviews it just enhances and whets our appetite for Provence.
Another perspective …. exactly! I’ve long felt that being vegetarian, I wasn’t really able to reflect the range of menus in town. So Susan’s contributions should help enormously.
Thanks Liz!
