The French railway system (SNCF) announced a national and unlimited strike from 5th December some time ago. Now it looks like other groups are joining in on the same date:
- All transport groups, national and unlimited
- RATP (Paris) unlimited
- Possibly the fonctionnaires (civil service)
- A general strike, national, on the 5th itself.
This information is listed on https://www.cestlagreve.fr/.
I now read that Air France ground crew are downing tools: https://www.thelocal.fr/20191108/airline-ground-crew-to-join-mass-strike-action-in-france-in-december, and the gilet jaunes are expected to be in action.
The protests are against reforms to the pension system.
Thanks to Marilyn for prompting Aixcentric on this one.
