…is dedicated to the work of Provencal novelist, poet and film-maker Jean Giono (1895-1970). He was raised in a working-class home in Manosque but steeped himself in literature from an early age. He earned his living by working in a bank but this was interrupted by WW1, the horrors of which inspired his poetry, and his subsequent pacifism.
