This coming weekend, 20-22nd September, sees the 10th edition of Les Vendanges Etoilées at Cassis: the streets of the old town and the pretty harbourside will be alive with market stalls, tastings and 40 cookery demonstrations by leading chefs.
There are also classes for general dishes or for patisserie, but these do need to be booked in advance.

I do like the sound of the event on Friday when Stephane Buron, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, will be cooking up a storm for all the local school-kids. ‘La Cantine Chic’, it’s called. I would dearly love to know what they make of it!
