Both PARADES in the cours Mirabeau, which opens the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, and Parade Pique-Nique, part of MPG2019, are all booked out, (June 30th), but it’s always nice to wander in town around these events.
It’s very much the beginning of a packed summer of events in town, and also throughout the region, so what you need is a copy of ‘Le Guide de l’Eté’ published by La Provence.
It comes free with the paper on Saturday and is quite indispensable.
As you will know if you are in Aix right now, it is incredibly hot. Great timing then for La Fete du Cinema which offers films at blissfully air-conditioned cinemas in town, 30 June-3 July, for just 4€ a session.
Next weekend has a treat in the shape of the ‘Nuit des Galeries’, Friday 5th July, when you can stroll round to see all the pictures in the (comparatively) cool of the evening. depliant nuit des galleries This pdf gives examples of each. Thanks to Miriam at Galerie A.
And so the heat continues – thank goodness the big pool, Piscine Yves Blanc at Stade de Carcassonne, has finally reopened.
Happy Splashing!
