A busy weekend coming up with –
An ultra-stylish décor exhibition
Open gardens across the south of France
and a Festival for Aix’s talented children.
The elegant white tents are up in Aix’s Parc Jourdan, time once again for Vivre Coté Sud, the design show based on the very glossy magazine.
They say: “At the fair, you will find everything you love about the magazine, expressing the essence and the very spirit of the Mediterranean. You can admire the decors, touch the materials, taste the regional produce, breathe in the perfumes of the South and profit from precious culinary advice. With Côté Sud, decoration, dreams and luxury become one … during the Fair from June 7th to June 10th 2019″.
It’s a shop window for local interior design – plus the gardens/outdoor section seemed much more comprehensive last year. 260 exhibitors in all. Lots of ideas for home-lovers. Very very popular amongst an elegantly well-heeled clientele.
Open: Friday – Monday from 10 am each day.
More ideas for garden-lovers this weekend at the Rendez-vous aux Jardins’ festival which is a nation-wide celebration of French horticulture. Here is the programme for PACA (thought we’d all been very firmly told to call ourselves Région Sud…) BROCHURE-RDV-JARDINS-2019
It has details of gardens open to the public all across the Cote d’Azur right across Provence to the banks of the Rhone at Avignon. Great poster by the way!
In Aix, the annual ‘C’est Sud’ celebration of youth art, dance, theatre, music…..will be taking place at 9 locations in town with lots of activity concentrated on the cours Mirabeau. 29 different events, all free.
I’m particularly looking forward to the giant Colouring-In session – a 10m art work – starting at 14:00, Saturday 8th. Programme here: c’est sud
What an eventful holiday weekend!
