La Fête des plantes which takes place each spring at the Fort St Jean (Mucem) will this year have ‘ biodiversité en ville’ as its theme. There will be specialists on Mediterranean garden on hand to give advice, as well as stalls for stocking your garden or terrace. Sat and Sun 11-18:00.
MuCEM will also give you a splendid perch for seeing the Belem, visiting the Vieux Port over the weekend. Belem is a three-masted French barque. She was originally a cargo ship, transporting sugar from the West Indies, cocoa, and coffee from Brazil and French Guiana to Nantes. It arrives Friday around 16:00 and can be visited Saturday and Sunday 10-17:30. 6 euros 12+, 3 euros 6-12, free for the little ones.
Bon weekend in Marseille!
