There are posters all over town for the 6th edition of this popular celebration of Aix’s special almond-based sweets, calissons, as well as chocolate from local chocolatiers. The Salon du Calisson et du Chocolat is a charitable event organised by the KIWANIS Aix Dauphins raising money for children with special needs.
The 20 stalls will include Confiserie d’Antan, Biscuiterie de Rognes, chocolatiers l’Espérantine and Stéphane Roux, and calissons from Roy René and Léonard Parli. Music and Provencal dancing will add to the atmosphere.
Dates: 13th and 14th April 10-19:00hrs.
Location: Couvent des Oblats, 56 Cours Mirabeau.
This is a great opportunity to visit this ancient cloister, usually closed to the public.
