Arriving back in Aix this week, it was great to see:
a) the e-gates in operation at T1, Marseille Airport
b) the sun.
Fascinating to learn that, this year, Paris has had 4 minutes of sun, while Aix has enjoyed over 40 hours! This map from Meteo France has these fascinating details…..
The beautiful Provence weather will be an attraction, the airport hopes, for hundreds of Russian tourists who can take advantage of new Aeroflot flights to and from Marseille from June 1st. It’s the first time there has been a direct link between Marseille and Moscow for years and there will be 5 flights each way per week. An interesting new destination too for locals.
