French yoghurt cake is a great invention – I got the recipe from le petit-fils Aixcentric who made it at maternelle. I thought if a 4-year old could master it, then so could I. (https://aixcentric.com/2015/04/28/childs-play-french-yoghurt-cake/)
Now Kristin Espinasse, who has the terrific French-language blog French Word a Day, has written about a savoury version, cake salé. It too uses a yoghurt pot for doling out ingredients: basically leave out the sugar and add chopped olives, herbs, tomatoes, tuna. She calls it ‘Fastoche Loaf’ which means easy-peasy loaf. I’m trying it out this weekend.
Here’s a link to Kristin’s blog which is worth registering for if you are learning French. https://www.french-word-a-day.com/2018/12/you-must-make-this-savory-loaf-try-this-cool-hack-for-the-favorite-french-yogurt-cake.html
