Activists dubbed ‘gilets jaunes’ will be turning out to block roads and autoroutes across France on 17th November to protest about rising fuel prices.

‘La Provence’ writes that this is not a normal union-backed strike, so much as people taking action themselves, so details may change. Best to keep a close eye on the website if you are travelling.

oh help! I was due to fly out of Marignane on Saturday 17!!
Oh dear. It’s not an organised union strike….more a popular protest which could be significant or not. I don’t think anyone really knows. Maybe keep an eye on the website I included and La Provence and/or The Connexion website. …..all the best and hope to see you soon!
