Each year, the twin towns of Cassis and Portofino organise an Italian market in Cassis which is a) delightful and b) has the most collectible posters … see below!
It takes place in the Place Baragnon, from today, 1st November until Sunday 11th. Expect lots of cheeses, wines, leather goods and textiles. Great handbags. Music and entertainment is promised.
This year there is also a pesto-making competition between French and Italian chefs, plus a procession of Vespas and Fiat 500 – a ‘contest of elegance’ according to the organisers.
