Out tomorrow, Bohemian Rhapsody tells the story of Queen, the British rock-band who went on to sell over 150 million records and gained major awards for song-writing. In 2018 they were given the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
The film production has had bumpy ride with various writers, producers and actors leaving citing artistic difference and it opened in the UK to mixed reviews (terrible hair, terrible teeth, too literal, clunky dialogue, moralising towards gays etc, etc, etc).
But everyone has been unanimous in praise of the performance of Rami Malek who had the huge challenge of stepping into Freddie Mercury’s sequined boots. He is brilliant and so is the music. I just loved it.
