Last call…for people wanting a ride on the ‘navettes martimes’ the boats that go from Marseille’s Vieux Port down to Pointe Rouge or westwards to L’Estaque. The service ends Sunday (30th) and resumes in the spring.
Sunday is a good day for a visit to Marseille as the monthly street celebrations, Les Dimanches de la Canebiere, restart. All day activity, with markets, street food and music – folk, jazz, rock and rap on the menu. This month the theme is ‘Patrimoine’. There’s a special exhibition on 17th and 18th century costumes at the large building at the bottom of La Canebiere….they refer to it in the publicity as the CCIMP but I’ve always known it as the Bourse. It was unforgettable in 2013 with its stunning trompe-l’oeil façade!

If you fancy a walk along to Mucem, the Ai Weiwei exhibition is still on and recommended. Post here: https://aixcentric.com/2018/06/19/ai-weiwei-at-mucem/
