If you are one of the many many locals who enjoy eating at Mana Espresso and admire the enterprising young Brits who started it, then this is for you!
Their second restaurant opened recently, giving them much needed space for their clientele. Mana a la Maison du Collectionneur is in a lovely old building in the Quartier Mazarin with a good-sized dining room (6 tables) and delightful garden (6 tables). We ate there today and enjoyed the friendly welcome and chic ambiance.

Mana Burger – sweet potato – served with avocado and salad. A treat in Aix!
Petit Dej is served until 11, all manner of smoothies, granola and eggs, followed by a wide-ranging lunch menu: salads, Buddha bowl, avocado toasts, assiette de falafels – and a range of desserts. On Sundays, they offer Brunch, with a 19€ formule. Veggie heaven plus good for families as buggies can be wheeled in without a problem, sometimes a challenge in central Aix.
The Maison du Collectionneur which occupies the upstairs of the building is a chambre d’hotes with 6 bedrooms. It looks really lovely. What a place to stay in centre ville.
It’s at 19 rue Roux Alpheran, (top end, just off rue d’Italie). Phone: 07 67 37 15 74. Reservations advised – v busy today. Open 9-4, Tues-Sun.
Thanks to Chantal and Fabienne of Destination Francais for telling me about this restaurant.
