I wonder if you have visited Anticafé Aix yet? Founded two years ago, its principle is that customers pay per hour.
Your 5 euros per hour gets you as much coffee or tea as you like, plus there are breakfast cereals, bread to toast with jam, or later in the day crisps, vegetables, dips, nibbles. Do have a look at my explanatory post from its launch: https://aixcentric.com/2016/03/12/new-an-anticafe-in-aix/
Now it is widening its offer to include a ‘lunchbag’ of 100% pure vegan food, produced by local company Dissident. For 12 euros, you get a fruit drink, a main dish and a dessert gourmand, either to eat at the café or to take to eat in the park….

At today’s tasting, Mathieu, Dissident’s young founder, explained that he was catering for the growing interest in vegan food, and that the Anticafé’s young clientele provides a perfect outlet.
I was very impressed with the puds which I just had to sample: super lemon cheesecake, cookies made from dates and matcha powder, chocolate mousse…. Their website gives an idea of their menus: https://www.dissidentfood.fr/ Lunchbags can be ordered online, or bought at Anticafé which is at 27 rue Granet.
Open daily. Weekdays 9-21:00; Sat and Sun 10-20:00.
