Some interesting shows for Aixcentric travellers!

• L’Atelier des Lumieres has finally opened in Paris. Modelled on our familiar centre d’art numerique at Les Baux by Culturespaces, it’s based in a disused factory and will, this year, feature Klimt and Schiele.  ‘Bluffante’ said the press.
• Nice’s very individual Yves Klein will be featured this summer at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.  It will be the largest ever UK-showing for this artist who patented his own Pantone blue and used it to great effect.  It will be interesting to see how his works fit in the golden grandeur of Churchill’s birthplace: https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2018/apr/25/blue-palace-blenheim-to-celebrate-colour-visionary-yves-klein. 18th July to 7th October.
• ‘Monet and Architecture’ is showing at the National Gallery until 29th July. He spent just 4 months in Antibes but produced 40 canvases, 3 shown here.  Rooms too on Paris, Rouen, London and Venice.  Pictures from all over Europe and US in a dazzling display. Online booking strongly advised.
