Learning about goats in Rognes
The 22nd annual Fete de la Chevre takes place at Rognes on Sunday 8th. This is a tourist-free and charming village event – I just hope that the gloomy weather forecast doesn’t spoil this celebration of all things goat-y. There are tastings, demos of cheese-making, music, traditional dancing, fun craft sessions for the children and free tours of the village in a caleche. Local restaurants will also be proposing menus based on les chevres.
