Lots going on. Even if these events are not to your taste, it’s worth knowing about them so you can steer clear of traffic and crowds if need be! We once set off for Arles and met police road-blocks – we hadn’t realised there was a feria taking place: not the best day for a peaceful walk around the old town! Here are some events to enjoy or avoid as the mood takes you…

Free Museums: Sunday being the first of the month, national/public museums are free-entry. In Aix, it’s the last chance to see the ‘Cezanne at Home’ display at the Musée Granet. The galleries will be enlivened throughout the afternoon by talks sometimes accompanied by music. 14:00 onwards.
Enjoy the Easter Weekend!
Hi Lynne,This does make me long to be back in Aix! We return on June 2 and look forward to seeing you and Bob before your return to the UK.I’m waiting for a delayed plane at Logan to go to my niece’s bridal shower tomorrow in Virginia. A high point will be seeing Camilla who is on her way back to Pittsburgh from a week of haz-mat training in Alabama. Can’t wait to see her all garbed up!We have been well, but busy with much to do before we leave in late May — a wedding in Florida, the Penofsky prize ceremony in Columbus for Larry, a charity evening we are hosting for an early music group on whose board I now sit. I admit to feelings of panic when I think of feeding 35 to 50 people! And, of course, our taxes, which are always a bear.By the way, Larry was enchanted by “A Sip at a Time.” He was amazed that he knew so few of the French phrases in the book after all these years.Happy Easter!Bisous,Beth
