I wouldn’t normally post something so far ahead but in this case, quick bookings seem sensible.
The tourist office at Gardanne has organised a programme of visits, Indus3Days, running from 17th-25th February.
It is really wide ranging. There are opportunities to go behind the scenes at the new Arena, the Grand Théatre de Provence and France Bleu Provence.
Visitors can go to see calissons being made, beer brewing at La Petite Aixoise and saffron production (with tasting).
There are visits to quarries, mines, Cadarache, the ‘parc photovoltaique’ at Puyloubier and the Tuilerie Bossy. And there’s lots more…..
Here is the link for reservations which generally cost around 6€: http://www.aixenprovencetourism.com/agenda-des-evenements/indus3days/
As you will see, most of these visits are once-only, hence my feeling that you need to get your name down. They point out that you have to take your passport.
But probably like you, I’ve been puzzled as to the name Indus3days for a nine-day event….I guess it’s a pun, Indus – tri – days?
