…except in Paris there isn’t a handy quarry so they have adapted a nineteenth-century iron foundry to convert into a massive space for projecting moving images along with themed music.

‘La Halle’ at 1500m2 will have two shows, a long one at 30 minutes plus a shorter one with a related theme. Just like the Carrieres de Lumieres at Les Baux, the images will be on a continuous loop.
The opening show will feature the work of Klimt and Schiele, both 19th century Viennese artists, alongside a shorter programme with the colourful paintings of Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

In 2016, the Carrieres de Lumieres attracted 560,000 visitors….I expect its new Parisian offshoot will be incredibly popular too.
