Blé d'esperance, santons, buches de Noel, la Pompe, treize desserts, le Gros Souper....Provence certainly has some wonderfully different customs at Christmas. And local language school 'Destination Francais' is running a workshop to explain them all. It's a two hour session on Friday 1 December, from 9.30 to 11.30hrs. They say:'Let's discover Christmas traditions in Provence, taste some Christmas desserts and sing Christmas songs. Participants will also have a hot drink and receive a a booklet about Christmas traditions written in French and English as well as a song book'. This workshop is in French and English.
