If you were one of the 300,ooo visitors to J1 during MP2013, you will remember what a thrilling venue this is. Around 22,000m2 of space, designed back in 1923 by Societé Eiffel, it was a jetty for ships, stretching out to sea and providing lovely views from the windows.
