The 7th Bouches-du-Rhone-wide Fete de la Gastronomie Provence is about to take place for three days, 22-24th September.
In Aix, there are two events, one in the Parc Jourdan, the other at Les Allées Provencales, both taking place on Saturday 23rd.
At the Parc Jourdan, there will be a tasting of local wines and products from 11:00, followed by a ‘Déjeuner Provencal’ from 12:30-15:00. Three chefs (La Table de Beaucrueil, L’Epicurien, Le Grand Puech) will be serving a meal which is 100% ‘terroir’. 45€. Local Provencal dancing will add to the ambiance at 15:00hrs.
Meanwhile, over by the tourist office, 6 chefs with 4 stars between them, will be demonstrating their signature local dishes. (Let’s hope they incorporate some juggling like the cheerful chap in the poster). The session ends at 18:00 with Provencal dancing. Free.
