The Musée Bonnard over in Le Cannet (just north of Cannes) is the only musem in the world dedicated to Pierre Bonnard.  Visiting his paintings lets you see the world through  his eyes, a celebration of joyful colour from the yellow mimosa in his beloved garden down to the sparkling blue of the Mediterranean below the town.

This museum is not far from the A8 at Cannes.  It’s a busy little suburb so parking is a bit tricky, but once installed you can take advantage by doing the ‘Balade Sur les pas de Bonnard’, which you can download from their website or follow from their leaflet.  It’s a very proactive museum with lots of workshops and talks for children, adults and families.  Details here: https://www.museebonnard.fr/

Climbing up to the belvedere overlooking the town gives lovely views of the Med….and a choice of outdoor restaurants and cafés!
