An unmissable event for your calendar. For the past few years, Aix has been investing a lot in its traditional Carnaval, bringing in creative companies to headline the event. Local associations and schools interpret the theme with gusto and the school kids really get into the swing – you will be picking confetti out of your clothes for days! This year the theme is AU BORD DES MONDES. What fun it looks. 
The procession will start at the top of the Cours Mirabeau where we will see fantastic birds, giant puppets and decorated floats. ‘Transe, festive, joyeuse et colorée, Le carnaval “Au bord des Mondes” nous invite à un voyage imaginaire tel une transhumance onirique rythmée par les pulsations de nos cœurs effervescents’
At the Rotonde, the grand finale will have aerial dancing as well as acrobatics and a giant “Piñata”. The artistic organisers this year are La Cie Gratte-Ciel from Arles.
Procession starts at : 15h00, top of the cours Mirabeau.
Grand finale : 16h00 at the Rotonde.
