For this, I am turning to the very topical, Hervé Cuisine, whose creator has been in the news this week as “la success story du youtubeur arlésien’.
Hervé Palmieri is one of the three bloggers to be chosen by You Tube to front their 2017 PR campaign, see poster below. He’s had over 500,000 views on You Tube and has 908,424 fans on Facebook for his online recipe demonstrations. A 37 year-old marketing man, he works in Paris but gets back to Provence (Saint-Martin-de-Crau) every 6 weeks, for some southern inspiration, he says. Hervé is self-taught – both in cookery and filming. He created his mobile app by watching online tutorials.
He makes between 1000-2000 euros a month from various brands but also by running ads at the beginning of each video. He’s already produced two books and is hoping to make an e-book in English.
