Cézanne’s famous home, Jas de Bouffan, is closing from January 1st until December 31st 2017 according to the town website.
In fact the website http://www.cezanne-en-provence.com is saying that it will be shut until 2019.
I only stumbled across this information today and can’t find out what is the nature of the ‘building work’. Must be extensive.
Anyway, if you would like to have a look round during December before it closes, the only way of doing this is by guided tour. They take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10:30 in French, 12:00 in English. Book either at the Office du Tourisme or online at http://www.cezanne-en-provence.com.
It’s 6 euros, but you can take someone with you free if you have a Pass My Provence card. Read about it here: https://aixcentric.com/2016/06/17/free-entry-with-pass-my-provence/
