If you are ( and it has to be done!) here are two items of news and a great website.
From today until 9th September, the road on the bridge across the Barrage de Bimont will be closed from the Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde side to the beginning of the trails. The other closure will be the Refuge of the Priory (at the top near the cross) which will close from 1st October until 15th January 2018. Not sure what the nature of the travaux is but any repairs up there are complicated with raw materials having to be helicoptered up.
The Friends of the Sainte-Victoire have contributed to some brilliant content on their website which le fils Aixcentric uses all the time to try different routes to the various summits. They have listed each path up and photographed each stage, adding a commentary telling you what to expect. It’s a great service for people setting off for one of Provence’s most magical views.

I took the photo above from the Maison de Sainte-Victoire which is recommended if you just want a gentle walk admiring the mountain from the foothills. There is an exhibition of pastels and sculpture starting shortly (24th September-9th October) and it is a lovely place for a coffee. http://www.aixenprovencetourism.com/a-voir-que-faire/activites-et-loisirs/culture/galeries-dart/?detail=24216
Are they putting a taxi stand near the top?
Michael
What a great idea! And no über cars there either……
