If you do decide to follow Ester Laushway’s advice on eating out in Vaucluse (see previous post), you may like to make a day of it; so here’s details of a really good website dedicated to the département. Through it, you can subscribe to their newsletter, ‘Manon en Provence’ which updates followers on events from Avignon across the Luberon and up to Mont Ventoux.

A floating market on the Sorgue
And there’s so much going on! From wine fairs to apricot markets, and during the summer, night-time farmers markets.
The website has a ‘Lavender in Provence’ section which will soon be very useful, plus information on guided tours in the main towns.
They also list places that have ‘petits trains’ which can be a boon for sight-seeing in the heat or alternatively cycle routes for the sporty.
What a beautiful part of France!
