Took in a ‘Vivre Coté Sud’ preview this morning and was dazzled by the range and quality of design on show.
Previous years have followed a rather unaffordable, glossy, Riviera theme, but this year’s theme, ‘Inspiration Nature’ has prompted exhibitors to show more artisanal goods, made with natural materials, to enhance home and garden. Much more down to earth, often literally: lots to inspire and also affordable smaller items which would make lovely gifts.

Coté Bazar have an emphasis on upcycling.
Popular this year: ‘Lulu en Provence’ with its natural 100% Made in France bags and pouches from this St Remy-based company, and also Beija Flor selling plastic floor panels and table covers based on traditional ceramic tiling. Both stands were very very busy when I left.
Of course food and drink is on the menu and the Coté Saveurs section has wines, oils, jams, honey and other local products to try.
All this marquee-gazing round 250 stalls is thirsty work of course and the catering is fun this year – it’s provided by food trucks and vintage vans with seating in the shade of the large trees.
Little ones haven’t been forgotten – there is an ‘Atelier Creatif’ in Coté Talents during day-time hours.
