A quick post on this garden celebration which has just begun. Several gardens are open to the public with special animations – this includes gardens in Bouc-Bel-Air, Cabries, Chateauneuf-le-Rouge, Eguilles, as well as Aix.
The Pavillon Vendome has special events planned both Saturday and Sunday with their gardeners in attendance. It doesn’t say if we will be allowed to sit on the grass as a one-off, but at least the museum is free on both days.
Over at the Cézanne family home, Jas de Bouffan, local art students are running the 4th ‘Watergame‘ with performances by 20 artists around the theme of water and nature. Spectators are invited to participate……..hmmm. ‘Waterbed’ by one artist takes the concept of the bed and turns it into a mini-Olympic swimming pool, a place for games and ‘autre sport’. What would old pere Cézanne have made of this going on in his garden!
