Petit-fils Aixcentric regularly cooks at his maternelle. What a great idea to get them mastering simple recipes so early.
His yoghurt cake was delicious and using the empty yoghurt pot as a measure made it so very simple. Here’s what you do:
Mix: 3 eggs, 1 pot of yoghurt, 2 pots of caster sugar, 3 pots of flour (self-raising or plain with a packet of levure added), 1 pot of light oil. Mix it well….we gave it a quick blast with an electric mixer.
Pour: into a buttered tin.
Bake: 40-45 minutes at 150C.
Bon Ap!
Sounds good, but what is the size of a pot?
Hi- just use the empty yoghurt pot as a measure for all ingredients….easier than weighing. Thanks for your good roundup today: what times!
Lynn, it might help to give the size of the yoghurt container that you used. A small one that comes in packs of six or a 400g pot, for instance? It matters for the ratio with the three eggs. We tried out Brut today after your review. Fantastic place! Bon week-end!
A small one – 100g. Glad you enjoyed BRUT – nice people. I hope it flourishes!
