This Wednesday, April 15th, L’Art Glacier reopens after its winter break. This is a restaurant tucked away on a wooded hillside near Ansouis and is well-worth seeking out. It has a fabulous terrace which overlooks the Luberon and its ice-creams and sorbets must be the best ever!
It’s owned by the Perriere family of maitres glaciers who only use traditional, natural ingredients. But for me it’s the presentation that is so pleasing. Each plate is a work of art with fruit and flowers…….and the ice-creams are delicious. The opening times are somewhat complicated. Here’s the website: http://www.artglacier.com/eng/index_eng.htm and I do recommend, as it’s a long way from Aix, that you phone ahead to make sure it’s open.
Don’t forget Scaramouche in Cereste — rated among the top five best ice creams in France. http://www.glaces-scaramouche.com
Will try it. Thanks for the tip.
