Did you know that Aix is the proud owner of one of the world’s largest deposits of dinosaur eggs?
The Arc valley provided an ideal habitat for these big beasts and the local Museum d’Histoire Naturelle is mounting an exhibition to show off some of their collection which will include the remains of a new large carnivorous dinosaur found during excavations when they widened the A8 motorway.
Fascinating for all – and great for the kids.
Plus, it’s being held at the Maison Sainte-Victoire which is a fun place to visit. The building is situated at the foot of the mountain and has lots of free parking, donkeys to admire, a café – indeed a terrace where you can sit and drink in your coffee along with the view. Can’t wait to see this one!
When: opens 24th January til 5th July. Daily 9:30-18:00.
Where: D17, Saint Antonin sur Bayon

Right up my son’s alley, thanks for this, wonderful to know!
I hope you both enjoy it!
I guess the dinosaurs liked the weather here too!
