It’s our annual opportunity to see films we have missed during the past year – Télérama magazine picks out the 14 they think were the best during 2014.
Each will be shown once, either at the Renoir or Mazarin, from 21-27th January. If you clip the coupon out of the current (14-21 Jan) issue of Télérama, two of you can get in for 3,50€ each time you visit; otherwise prices as normal. This is the list:
1 – Winter Sleep – Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
2 – Mommy – Xavier Dolan.
3 – Saint Laurent – Bertrand Bonello.
4 – Ida – Pawel Pawlikowski. *
5 – The Grand Budapest Hotel – Wes Anderson. *
6 – Only lovers left alive – Jim Jarmusch.
7 – Bande de filles – Céline Sciamma.
8 – Léviathan – Andreï Zviaguintsev.
9 – Dans la cour – Pierre Salvadori.
10 – Eastern Boys – Robin Campillo.
11 – Eden – Mia Hansen-Love.
12 – Une nouvelle amie – François Ozon.
13 – Under the skin – Jonathan Glazer.
14 – Hippocrate – Thomas Lilti.
* Denotes films nominated for an Oscar. In fact there’s lots of opportunity to see Oscar-nominated films this week, as ‘Wild’, ‘Whiplash’ and ‘Timbuktu’ are still showing, and ‘Foxcatcher’ is opening.
Happy Viewing!
thanks Lynne. What is Telerama Magazine, i.e. where do I get it?
Our local buraliste sells it…try the news kiosks in town.
