Last year we were wrong-footed by air-traffic controllers three times: one flight cancelled, one delayed and one afternoon sitting on the tarmac at Heathrow for hours. ‘Where can we find out about this sort of thing before it happens?’ we wondered.
Well now there’s a website which lists strikes across France – today for instance the binmen are out in Le Havre, the postal workers in Florac (Lozere), the lawyers in Nantes and the firemen in Caen – amongst others. Set up by an individual incensed by the recent Air France strike, it is apolitical – just aiming to help people likely to be affected. A timely warning is so helpful to avoid being inconvenienced. Here’s the link http://www.cestlagreve.fr/ and you can read more about it in The Connexion English language newspaper.
Only in France! Quel innovation 🙂
Aboslutely! It could be useful though as it’s awful being caught up in these things….
