‘Les Voiles de Vieux Port’ – a regatta of 40-plus classic sailing ships – takes place this week in Marseille.
Amongst them is the beautiful old boat, the Belem, due into port towards the end of the day, June 26th.
Built in 1896, she was originally a cargo ship, transporting sugar from the West Indies, cocoa, and coffee from Brazil and French Guiana to Nantes.
There will be an opportunity to visit the ship on June 29th, 10-18:30. Tickets cost 5€ and are available at the quai-side.
