Groupe F, who lit up the Athens Olympics, the 1998 World Cup closing ceremony and the opening of the Millenium celebrations at the Eiffel Tower, will be marking the end of MP2013 with a massive pyrotechnical display at the Vieux Port.
The celebrations will begin at 19:00 so that families can attend.
Extra buses will be running in Marseille and the navette service from Aix is said to be running as normal. On the other hand, the movement of boats around the Vieux Port will be restricted from 29th December.
